Determining the Clash Criteria
The Criteria tab of the Clash Detection dialog is used to set up the criteria to determine whether there is a clash. There are three types of criteria from which to choose: Levels, References, and Item Sets/Named Groups. The criteria displayed in the three list boxes include items found in the overlay file, the reviewed file and any direct attachments to the reviewed file.
Any geometry that is hidden in the view is not included in the clash detection. For example, if a level is turned off in the view, geometry on that level will not be included in the clash detection even if you have selected that level as a criteria for Set A and Set B.
If you want to select an item that is in a deeply nested attachment, you need to use the key-in CLASHDETECTION SETA ADD LEVEL <level>, for example, if you want to add a level to Set A.
The criteria from any of the panels on the Criteria tab can be dragged into either the Set A or Set B list box. You can also select the level, reference, or named group, right-click and select Copy and then paste it into the appropriate set list box.
If you only want to check one set of objects against itself, add these items to the Set A or Set B list box and turn on the Self Check option.
